Students are invited to bring their own items and bypass the materials fee or just walk in the door and know they'll have interesting things to work with supplied by Brooke.

The Instructor: Brooke Atherton’s artwork is a visual record of her life in the North American West. She use the marks left by natural forces such as fire and water, and a diverse range of objects and materials collected from countless walks across the landscape. Layering and stitching the surfaces into maps, calendars and journals she creates rich memory banks that reflect a place or event.

”I've seen Brooke at work, and she's more like a chihuahua who's had one too many cups of coffee.” - Friend of the artist, Dorothy Curtis
